Rewire
Our story begins with all the oppotunities that are not frequently open for underrepresented K-12 students. Children in South Los Angeles have disproportionately been excluded from opportunities within the tech industory, specifically the computer science.
Rewire is here to challenge those norms. We move with intentions, but without stepping on people on the way.
To provide educational opportunities to underrepresented students who have had a lack of exposure or access to computer science, by providing resources for them to learn tech-based, skills such as coding, robotics, 3D printing, virtual and augmented reality, and more.
Our vision is to work towards closing the gap of racial and gender equality in the tech field, and create a community of diverse students that will serve as an example and inspiration for the younger and future generations.
